Changes in the gym.....
“Soon, soon”, these are the words I heard from the squash clubs hierarchy for the past 12 months. Well, at last, the female changing rooms have been renovated and work will start on the mens as soon as possible. This will be followed by a modernisation of the bar area and finally a development of the gym/sauna area downstairs....possibly even an extention if demand dictates!!
We have some wonderful stories about how exercise and fitness has helped some of our clients change their lives....
Betsan managed to lose a staggering 7 stone since April 2007. Which is a fantastic feat in itself, however, it gives us even more satisfaction to say that she is now proving to be a fabulous role model by qualifying as a lifeguard and working as a fitness trainer in the Ospreys gym in Llandarcy. Keep up the good work Bets!
Andy has managed to run 4 half marathons in the last 18 months, his waist line is shrinking rapidly. The ladies are missing the old cuddly fella, but happy enough with the new lean look I’m told!!
It’s not just about losing weight...Naomi, Ros, Rhiannon and Elaine. Do a 10k here, an off pieste skiing jaunt there, sailing in the med, give these girls a challenge and look out. They not only took part in a novice’s rowing regatta at llandaff last September. They won it!!..and partied hard afterwards! He he
Early warning for you the second week in October will be our 4th birthday party. We always celebrate over a glass or two at Le Gallois so plan to walk in late on the Monday morning as it does tend to be a late affair on the Sunday afternoon. Watch this space for the date.

Mae’n wych i allu son am gwelliannau pobl, nid yw’r scales bob tron n dangos y gwaith caled mae pobl wedi rhoi fewn, ond mae balchder da ni y nein swydd pan i ni'n gweld pobl yn cerdded o gwmpas tamaid bach yn dalach, neu yswyddau nol tamaid fwy oferwydd eu body n dechrau teimlo’n well am ei hunain.

Mae Andy di llwyddo i rhedeg 4 hanner marathon dros y 18 mis diwethaf. Mae’r marched yn colli’r hen tedi bear and yn hapus iawn da’r corff siapus newydd!!
Nid colli pwysau yn unig sy’n digwydd yma yn iechyd da. Mae lot o baratoi yn mynd mlaen am bob fath o weithgareddau. Mae Naomi, Ros,Rhiannon a Debbie yn rhedeg 10k un wythnos, skio yn ewrop y nesaf, hwylio’r med am wyliau a nid yn unig cymeryd rhan mewn regatta rhwyfo ond eu ennill e fyd!! Llwyddodd Naomi a Rhiannon i rhedeg marathon llundain blwyddyn yma, gan godi yn agos i £4000 i charity. Da iawn merched.
